Giveaway winner!

Oh my goodness, thank you all so much for entering the giveaway! Yipee! You all rock. I'm glad you liked it. I think this may have to be a monthly thing, if my bank account allows it.

Anyway, without further ado- on to the winner. Blogger says there were 54 comments, but some folks put all their entries in one. I broke it down, so it came to 58. Just wanted to share so you all know I'm legit. I have the print out with my chicken scratch, I'd show you a better photo, but there is a comfy kitten laying on it.

Ok, enough rambling, sorry! The winner is.....

Christiana! Or, if you follow her on twitter, @msdorsay. Yipee! Congrats Christy! <3

Guest Post: Beth from Dot in the City

Hi there, I'm Beth from dot...in the city.
I'm so grateful Megan asked me to join you today.
A few weeks ago, I put together a new spring-almost-summer wreath.

Here's what you'll need to make a similar one:
grapevine wreath
yarn
felt
hot glue gun
fabric markers
baker's twine or string

I re-used a grapevine wreath I had decorated for fall.
I just love how versatile they are.
I started, but wrapping a section of the wreath with yard.
Next, I cut out felt triangles to form a bunting banner.
I just used two colors to keep it simple.
Since the wreath is going on the front door, I chose to write
'welcome' on the bunting, stringing it together with baker's twine.
I thought it needed a little more, so I also made a flower
out of the felt in a contrasting color.
To learn more about making such a flower, check out this tutorial.
Lastly, I used hot glue (in small amounts) to put the wreath together.

Thanks for having me, Megan!

BLOG BUDDY APPRECIATION DAY

It's amazing how much the blog community really means to me. I'm serious. With the hubby being deployed, me having crazy issues at home, and a half eaten bear rug (long story), having a group of gals that I can vent to, laugh with and at, and that don't judge me (too much hehe) makes me feel like a gazillion bucks. Thanks ladies!

I've come to know these gals through various aspects, such as blogging and twitter. I stalk follow them daily and am proud to call them my friends. I'm sure to some folks, friends are real life people that you know. Well, I know these gals. Most I hadn't met (until a few weeks ago, yipee!), but the definition of a friend doesn't state that you have to know them in real life. So there. They are my friends and they rock.

Just wanted to give a shout out to the super ladies that I've met and say thanks for listen to my nonsense everyday. And thanks Kelly for making this a holiday. :)

It's an "almost summer" giveaway!

I feel like having a giveaway. You folks like giveaways right? Right. And since it's almost summer, I wanted to share these items that remind me of summer time. Or make me want the beach. Or a drink. Or all of the above.

Ok, here it is.

This makes me crave a piƱa colada. And the beach. I need a tan.

And because I love nothing more than iced coffee in the summer time:

$15 Starbucks gift card. That's a lot of lattes. Or mochas. Or whatever the heck you want. Now I want a coffee.

And lastly, I love candles and kiwi. So why not combine them!

Kiwi-strawberry-vanilla sounds divine. And dreamy. And the bright green color screams summer.

*Legal mumbo jumbo: This is my own giveaway. No one sponsored, no one donated. All items are courtesy of yours truly.

So, how do you win you may ask? Well, I'll tell ya!

Contest will be open until next Friday, May 27. So that gives us a week. That is, if nothing happens on May 21st. Fingers crossed we are saved folks.

Mandatory:

Leave a comment telling me your favorite thing about summer. Yup, it's that easy.

Extra entries (be sure to leave separate comments):

1. Follow me on Twitter
2. Follow my lovely blog via FB or GFC.
3. Tweet this giveaway: I'm not creative enough to know how to link and all that, so just say whatever the heck you feel like! :)
Good luck!

Top 5

So I may or may not own the whole series of Friends. Don't judge me, it's a damn good show. Remember Myspace?! Well, back in the olden days of Myspace, my profile said, and I quote, "I believe life can be compared to an episode of Friends, Seinfield, or SATC." And to this day I still believe it.

With that being said, my dear friend Steph is playing a little game based upon the episode of Friends where Ross has his top five list.
Mine are in no particular order, except for number 1. Brad Pitt will always hold the key to my heart. Ahem, I mean, my husband will. ;)

Dude, how hot is Brad Pitt? Seriously. I want to name my future son Tristan based upon his character in Legends of the Fall. I heart him. Muy mucho. I may or may not threaten C sometimes that I'll leave him for Brad Pitt if he pisses me off enough. ;)

I love Robert Downey Jr. to this day. Don't get me wrong, he is aging well, but seriously, look how dreamy he looks. I am a sucker for the old school RDJ. This movie made my heart go pitter patter. And I may have cut out Marisa Tomei. Don't judge me.

I totally crushed on Oliver back when Dawson's Creek was on. That was such a good show....I also think KHudson would be an awesome sis in law. I'm just sayin'.

Ok for real this story happened. My really really really really good friend Beth moved to LA 10 years ago. She asked me prior to leaving which celebrity I wanted her to hook me up with. I chose Paul Walker. I'm still waiting........

I love a man that can drive a fast car. Va va vooooooom. :)

And lastly, Matthew McConaughey. I don't even think I need to explain this one.
He's just so charming. And fun. And I enjoy seeing him without a shirt. There, I said it.

Now for the hubby's list. His are in specific order. He told me to make sure I metion that.

We have a HUGE poster of Gwen in our basement, aka the man cave. And yes, he refers to her on a first name basis. And he is a bit salty at her for the moment for having kids with Gavin, but he's a forgiving person, so she still remains at number 1. I kid you not, those were his exact words.

Sometimes at kareoke I try to sing No Doubt songs. It doesn't go over well. I would be kicked out of the band.

C said, "I like them because they can cook." He loves cooking. A lot. He will watch their shows then spoil me with their recipes. However, now that I think about it. I can't cook. I don't even know why we are together ha!

His next choice is the "hot chick from Fast and the Furious." Awesome honey. He likes that she knows about cars, which mind you, I haven't a clue about. Again, why are we married?!

And lastly, he asked that I specify his next choice. Christina Aguilera from the Dirty album. I guess if I can be specific about Robert Downey Jr. he can too.

Stripped

Who is your celebrity top 5? And what would you do if you came face to face with them, a la Ross and Rachel?

Nothing says comfort like a bunch of amazing girlfriends!

I'll set the scene: Vegan restaurant (hello delicious mac and cheese!), 6 girls and significant others, and one sucky ass DJ. Lots of laughter ensued.

Since the Mr. took my camera, I don't have one. So I'm stealing. So sue me.

Also, to preface. I was nervous. Not nervous about meeting these lovelies, because honestly, I can talk to a wall. But nervous that they would not be who they said they were. I've seen way too many Dateline episodes and was praying that Chris Hansen wouldn't pop out. He did not. Thank GOD.

We are some fine lookin' ladies, don't ya think?
There's Em, Claire, Anni, Steph, moi, Maria, and Jessica. I heart them.

Check out their blogs to see how the night progressed. :) I'll warn you, it involves snuggies, laughing, and awesome dancing. Miss you ladies already!

Tail Wagging Tuesday, Kitten Konfidential

I'm about 99% sure that Tail Wagging Tuesday is about dogs, but my kitten totally fit today's prompt: the look. The puppy dog (kitten) eyes that say, "but mommmmm, I didn't do it!" or "I'm too cute to be up to no good!". Yup, that's my Raven.

Last time I checked kittens weren't allowed on the counter. I could be wrong.

Also, I don't think you are supposed to recycle animals. I'm about 100% sure that is frowned upon. Sigh.

See that, "who me?!" look?  I'm such a softie.

Does your pet have a look? And are you a sucker like moi?
